Slovakia begin quest with easy win over Indonesia

Frenz United IndonesiaPetaling Jaya — Slovakia began their Group B campaign in the Under-15 Frenz International Cup football tournament with an easy 2-0 win over Frenz United Indonesia at the Shah Alam Stadium last night.

Winger Lubomir Tupta opened the scoring for the Slovakians in the ninth minute. Slovakia’s other strike came through an own goal by Hendra Putra in the 47th minute.

Slovakia coach Peter Stefanak was pleased and praised praising Tupta, Andras Lenart, skipper Martin Macho and Martin Sulek.

“My players played high-level football for the first 25 minutes. But we’re represented by the national team and we should enjoy a certain degree success here,” said Stefanak.

Indonesian head coach John Arwandi said his players were overwhelmed by the occasion where eight teams are competing in the tournament which offers a total of US$100,000.[]
