Aceh Community Extends Helping Hand to Flood Victims In Pahang

Flood Victims In Pahang ( Aceh Malaysia community on Tuesday contributed necessity items, including food, worth more than RM165,000 in a bid to help flood victims in the country.

Its leader, Mansyur Usman said, the contributions were collected by members from the Aceh community in the Klang Valley within two weeks, for distribution to victims in badly affected states like Pahang and Terengganu.

“This is our fourth initiative, which also consists of entrepreneur contributions, and shows that we care and sympathize with what has befallen residents in these states.

“This humanitarian aid is our way of appreciating the concern Malaysians had shown to the people of Aceh whose lives were hit by tsunami in 2004,” he said.

He said this during the presentation of items such as biscuits, sugar, cooking oil, clothing and more to the Malaysian Armed Forces for distribution, at the community operations room here.

Mansyur added that the Aceh community had previously given out contributions to flood victims in Johor in 2007, Pahang in 2008, as well as Pahang and Kedah in 2011.[]
